Though some of the Titans protested that the crystals were taboo, Jero forced them to start gathering the crystals for their new gods. When Jazz and Perceptor arrived, they looked for the source of the crystals that the natives were suing against them, and soon located the Fire God's lair. Perceptor was able to analyze the crystals, discovering their nature as a power source. Three Titans found them there and told them that the sacrifice of Talaria was imminent. During the battle for Titan, Astrotrain ended up plunging through the floor of the temple and nearly ended up going for a swim in some electric lava in the cave. Always the gracious loser, he caused a chain reaction in the energy crystals, and the cave system was destroyed along with the rest of the island. The God Gambit
