Flambert appeared exclusively in the UK portion of the Marvel Comics continuity.

When Professor Purnel began to suspect that his assistant, Zeke Heilmann, was really a spy seeking to steal his work for a foreign power, he hired Flambert to pose as the European Security Advisor. In this role, Flambert attended a personal briefing on Purnel's invention: Purnel's Auto-Reverse Defence, or PARD. After being informed of PARD's capabilities, Flambert asked to see the blueprints for final approval, but Purnel took him to see the cost analysis elsewhere first. Zeke Heilmann took the opportunity to steal the plans, proving Purnel's suspicions correct. To a Power Unknown!
