G-Shock × Transformers
Produced in collaboration with [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Casio, Inc.|{{#if:||Casio, Inc.}}]] to commemorate 35 years of both Transformers and the G-Shock watch, G-Shock × Transformers is a 2018 TakaraTomy toyline featuring Transformers that change into watch holding pedestals, which could hold concurrently released Transformers-themed G-Shock watches. The toyline consisted of only one mold which was later retooled.
The toys were released as standalone figures, or packaged with compatible DW-6900TF-4 G-Shock watches. The releases which included the watches were unchanged from the figure-only releases, but were distinguished with "Resonant Mode" monikers (as well as a significantly higher price tag).
Fiction
[edit]The toyline featured accompanying fiction written by Hirofumi Ichikawa which was released along with each figure.
