Galactic Republic

The Galactic Republic is an interplanetary faction involved in the Clone Wars, fighting the Confederacy using a vast army of clone troopers. For some time they also had the religious warriors known as the Jedi on their side, but turned on them for reasons unknown.<ref>Crossovers Clone pilot to V-wing Starfighter packaging bio</ref>

Several people aligned with the Republic, such as Anakin Skywalker and some clone pilots, would later be seen sporting the insignia of the Empire, suggesting that the Republic evolved.
