Galileo Building

The Galileo Building is a large glass building in downtown Chicago. Its regular occupants include a firm which manufactures astronomical equipment, and a bunch of workers who don't know when it's time to get out of Dodge. The building is named after Galileo.

Dark of the Moon film

While looking for somewhere high to launch their rocket, Sam, Carly, Epps, and his team ascended inside the Galileo Building. On the uppermost floor, Hardcore Eddie prepared to take a shot at the space bridge Control Pillar, but the Decepticons started shooting at the building and they had to stop as the building was tilting further. After having to deal with a Decepticon jumping into the building, the humans jumped out of a window, slid down the building's slope, and shot their way through more windows into a lower floor. Unfortunately the commotion caused a lot of falling debris which attracted the attention of Shockwave. The Decepticon set the Driller on the building. The Driller chewed its way through the building until the top half fell over onto a neighboring structure, at which point Optimus Prime came to the rescue and killed the beast, while the humans scrambled to safety on the next-door building. • While the building goes unnamed in the film, the novel gives it the name "Galileo Building".
