Galva-Matrix
The Galva-Matrix (ガルバマトリクス Garubamatorikusu) is a crystal sphere centered in the chest of the Predacon Emperor of Destruction, Galvatron. It contains Galvatron's spark, his lifeforce.[citation needed]{{#ifeq: ||}} The Galva-Matrix is capable of absorbing Angolmois Energy, amping Galvatron's power, and is bonded with the artificial planet Nemesis.

[edit]The Galva-Matrix is what connected Galvatron to Nemesis and gave him power over the warship. After Nemesis had absorbed all the Angolmois Energy on Gaia, Galvatron channeled the Angolmois Energy into his body using his Galva-Matrix. It gave Galvatron incredible strength and caused him to grow to a towering height. Lio Convoy and Lio Junior combined into the Legendary Green Lion through their Energon Matrices and used their combined might to siphon off the Angolmois Energy within Galvatron and eject it into deep space within capsules.
Galvatron, not willing to say die, played his final card. He used his Galva-Matrix to set Nemesis to explode. The Legendary Green Lion then engaged Galvatron in a final battle to which they seemed equally matched. Then, Lio Convoy and Lio Junior separated, disorienting Galvatron for a brief instant, allowing Lio Convoy to stab his Lio-Claw directly through Galvatron's Galva-Matrix, shattering the crystal and killing Galvatron. Then Nemesis blew up.

Beast Wars: Uprising
[edit]In an attempt to create a third proto-race to counter the Maximals and Predacons, the Builder Assembly commissioned the creation of a clone of Lio Convoy, infused with a portion of the G-Virus, who they dubbed Galva Convoy. However, in the cycles following his birth, Galva Convoy was shown the history of Cybertron by Lord Imperious Delirious, in all its horror, and in despair came to the conclusion that free will on Cybertron had to go. To this end, he vowed not only to master the Energon Matrix within him, but use the portion of the G-Virus within him to corrupt it into an Anti-Matrix, a "Galva Matrix". - Released in the Japanese and Korean Beast Wars toylines, Galvatron features a yellow marble fixed inside his chest to represent the Galva-Matrix.
- This figure was later reissued in the Korean Car Bot toyline, reassigned as a Destronger and renamed Gigatron Z.
