Glass gas

Glass gas undocumented feature: Involuntary description in detail of what is happening to you.

The Autobot Cliffjumper wields the fearsome glass gas against his foes. It coats his foes and alters the crystalline structure of their component metals, making them as brittle as glass. Cliffjumper is always pleased with the gruesome result... as long as he remembers to stay upwind.

When Cliffjumper wound up in another universe and was forced to team up with the local Decepticons, Starscream (knowing his reality's Cliffjumper used it before his death) gained Cliffjumper's aid in replicating the glass gas formula, so that they could use it on the Ark. Apparently a gas can also be like foam, energy, and used underwater.

Cliffjumper first used his glass gas in vehicle mode, firing a burst at Laserbeak's remote-flying laser cannon after the Decepticons caught him and Hound spying on them. The cannon was destroyed in mid-air. It's a gas! More than Meets the Eye, Part 1

On another occasion, Cliffjumper released the gas (underwater) to shatter part of the floor of the Decepticons' undersea base, allowing him to rescue the kidnapped Sparkplug Witwicky. The Ultimate Doom, Part 1

Later, he somehow used the gas to form a solid sphere of glass crystal around Megatron. Unfortunately, Megatron shattered it like, well... you know... Heavy Metal War

He tried using glass gas on Nightbird, only for the ninja to plug the end of the nozzle with a missile. Enter the Nightbird When some pirates came through a time warp, Cliffjumper zapped their swords, turning the weapons to glass and shattering them. Dinobot Island, Part 2

The next time he used his glass gas gun was on Devastator during a battle near the Solar Power Tower. In response, Devastator swept his arm, causing a gust of wind which dissipated the gas harmlessly. Later in the battle, Cliffjumper was back to using lasers. The Master Builders

The weapons engineer Ironfist was most famous for inventing cold phosphex, otherwise known as glass gas. Last Stand of the Wreckers #4 His friend Skyfall later attempted to improve on the formula, creating the significantly more potent "black phosphex". So potent, in fact, that fourteen Autobots were nearly killed in the field when they activated their BP blasters and the guns crumbled to dust in their hands. Bullets

Swindle sold Blitzwing some glass gas from Darhos as part of their arms race/feud. Lugnut was unimpressed with it, until it turned him into a glass statue that Hothead Blitzwing easily demolished. Though it's never referred by name, its effects are unmistakable. The cannon that Hothead Blitzwing shoots it out of is downright goofy-looking and appears to be heavily inspired by Dr. Seuss's illustrations. Everything Must Go
