Gloria Jiménez‎ is a resident of Rockville, Colorado. She is married to Ernesto and has at least two children: a daughter, Lori and a son. After moving out of the big city, she's taken up gardening.

Gloria joined her husband and daughter while they were stargazing, bringing them some hot herbal green tea as they scrutinized the heavens for Betelgeuse. She noted a strange beacon being projected from a nearby forest, and diverted her family's attention to it. Lori went off to tell some friends about the light, and soon afterwards Gloria noticed several aircrafts heading for the beacon. She figured it was the airforce, out to investigate it. Speed

Following the start of Starscream's invasion, Gloria and her family were taken into protective custody by Colonel Franklin and a military detail. Though worried at first, she seemed to calm down after Lori reassured her that things would be all right. Invasion Franklin attempted to interrogate them for the location of the Autobot base, but they were interrupted by the arrival of the Recon Mini-Con Team, who escaped with the three children. When Lori tried to explain her and Coby's involvement with the Autobots to their parents, Gloria remained skeptical. However, she was horrified upon learning from Lucy Suzuki that her daughter had been visiting other planets. The sudden arrival of Optimus Prime and the Autobots left her stunned. She attempted to prevent Ernesto from joining the trip to Gigantion, though Vector Prime's refusal to let the parents join made it a moot point. Worried both for her daughter's safety and sustenance, she insisted upon staying up all night to make plenty of food for the kids' journey, which she tearfully presented to them the next day before their departure. When asked about Gloria's name and whether he was actually Lori's mother, Sideways chastised the writer, calling the question inappropriate and stating that she was a lovely lady who should be left alone. Ask Sideways 2015/07/03

Notes

• Gloria was never named during the series in either language. It wasn't until many years after the Cybertron franchise's end that she was retroactively named in response to a question asked about her on the Ask Vector Prime Facebook page, during a period when it had been hijacked by Sideways.
