- Grady is a human from the Marvel portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Grady is a brilliant, if careless man with very few scruples. Of course, that means he has been approached by and has accepted a job at the Intelligence and Information Institute. As one of Triple I's head scientists, Grady was in charge of repairing Professor Morris's neural relay link system with which robots could be controlled and building Centurion, Triple I's very own robot.

[edit]Grady welcomed Professor Morris when Triple I abducted him to an underground laboratory in Portland. Introducing Morris to Centurion, he explained what Triple I expected from him: That he would control Centurion like he had once controlled another robot and be a soldier for Triple I. He forced Morris into the rebuilt robot mind-control machine and hooked him up to Centurion, giving him the mission to liquidate Joy Meadows before she would expose Triple I's Robot-Master lie.
In his overconfidence, Grady handed Morris a lot of useful information, such as that the laboratory room he was in contained enough food and water to last a year and that the room could not be breached if the occupants didn't want it to. As soon as Grady left the room, Morris locked him out to take his life back in his own hands. Grady had the honor of explaining that tiny kink in Triple I's plans to his boss, Forrest Forsythe, who was not pleased. When it was clear Morris wouldn't come out any sooner than he had to, Grady was ordered to help destroy all the evidence that linked Triple I to Morris, Centurion or Robot-Master.
