Beast Wars: Uprising

[edit]

Grimwing was a leading figure among the Resistance in the final days of the Grand Uprising. He attended High Command's review of the failure of Operation Amputation, and readied the troops for the march on Iacon. He led the strike team at Fort Scyk to capture the Yuss Naval Batteries before proceeding up the Great Rust Sea.

As the final march towards Iacon began, Grimwing reported to Lio Convoy his scouts' observations–Hot Rod and the Micromaster 001st remained contently encamped at the High Pavilion Arena, while the Vehicon horde advanced on the rear of the Resistance with only two megacycles to spare.

Once the High Pavilion fell to their siege, the Builder Assembly raised their command bunker high into the air. Grimwing brought Lio Convoy and Blackarachnia with him to confront the Builders. Fate turned against them when the Vehicon horde arrived and assimilated their masters, turning on the Builders and Resistance alike. Half of his 53 flyers were taken down as the Vehicon Apocalypse officially began. He was last seen commanding air troops in the ruins of the High Pavilion. Derailment

Prime

  • Grimwing (Voyager Class, 2013)
    • Series/Number: 2 / 004
    • Accessories: Blackbeak Grapple Launcher, 2 shoulder weapons
Part of the third wave of Prime: Beast Hunters Voyager Class toys, Grimwing transforms into a dark gray and green ursagryph covered with an assortment of Cyberglyphics. He comes with the "Blackbeak Grapple Launcher", a strange birdlike creature who can fire the claw missile in his mouth via pressure-launch, with the missile being tied to the launcher with a length of string. Both Blackbeak and his missile can mount/be held by Grimwing via 5 mm post, with Grimwing featuring ports on his hands, forearms, and back.
As an undocumented feature, the U-shaped parts on his shoulders are separate pieces that can be pulled out to be used as weapons held via their 5mm handles.
His packaging stock photography depicts his legs as not having been properly extended for robot mode. His instructions include the fifteenth chapter of the Tales of the Beast Hunters series. This mold was redecoed into Beast Hunters: Predacons Rising Darksteel and retooled into Go! Budora.
