[edit]At some point in the past, the Guardian Knights fled Cybertron to counter their mistress's machinations. Eventually, they landed their ship in the outskirts of England on Earth. A local human, Merlin discovered the Knights and promised to keep their existence a secret. In 484, however, he arrived at their ship to seek aid for his people. The Knights agreed to assist King Arthur's forces and a public alliance was forged. Later on, after Merlin had died, the Knights moved their ship with Merlin's sarcophagus and the staff to the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean.
In the present day, Cybertron approached Earth as Quintessa plotted to restore the Transformers' homeworld by siphoning the energy of Earth/Unicron. Sir Edmund Burton, last of the Order of the Witwiccans, dispatched Autobot ally Cade Yeager and Merlin's last descendant Viviane Wembly aboard the HMS Alliance to find the staff. With the TRF in pursuit, the Alliance brought them to the ship, which they boarded. After a chaotic sequence of battles, the ship rose from its resting place on the seabed to the ocean surface and proceeded to Stonehenge, the nexus point of Unicron's horns. The Last Knight
