Hawthorne Army Depot is a United States Army base near Hawthorne, Nevada.

Nineteen thousand years ago, during the war against The Fallen, a munitions stronghold was established on the site that would later become Hawthorne Army Depot. It contained a number of Cybertronian weapons, including a trans-spacial cylinder. Its location was recorded in ancient documents which eventually caused Gears and Reverb to go looking for it. By that time, the humans had built a military base at the location.

Aided by Kevin Bowman, Gears reached the base first, and located the weapons cache, however Reverb was able to get the better of Gears and equip himself with a number of the weapons from within the cache, including a personal force field and the cylinder. More Autobots arrived, and so did some of the humans from the base, a number of whom were transported to an unknown location by the cylinder. The Autobots eventually managed to triumph and the site was presumably secured. Switching Gears
