Highbrow is an Autobot from the Animated continuity family.
"What an absolute shower!"

Highbrow (aka Highbrow Prime) used to be the head of Cybertron Intelligence, and as such, worked on many a secret Autobot project. He distilled the concept of having a stiff upper-lip into an entire life-style, and made no time for "funny business," despite being an eternal optimist.<ref>Highbrow's profile in Hasbro Transformers Collectors' Club issue 26</ref> Wonder where he is these days?

Millions of years ago, Highbrow and Mainframe worked on the comatose Arcee, trying to recall the sensitive data she had been carrying that was feared lost after her unfortunate encounter with Lockdown. When they called in Ratchet to help, the medic triggered a hidden failsafe that transferred the data to his memory banks. Realizing what had occurred, Highbrow led Ratchet and Ultra Magnus to the room containing Project Omega, explaining that the retrieved data was the final step in completing the Autobots' newest weapon, Omega Supreme. Following this, Highbrow cracked the codes used for private messages between Megatron and Scrash. This intelligence coup would lead to one of the Autobot's greatest wartime victories: the Ambush of Floron III. The AllSpark Almanac II

  • Highbrow appears to be patterned after British actor [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Terry-Thomas|{{#if:||Terry-Thomas}}]]. He is mustachioed, he shares the actor's distinctive gap between his front teeth, and he's jolly well got a delightful caddish British accent, eh wot?
  • It is possible that Highbrow was killed by Shockwave in order for him to get the job of Head of Cybertron Intelligence. If so, then add him to the list of "Autobots Shockwave mercilessly killed"! In fact, the second AllSpark Almanac all-but confirms that this is what befell Highbrow.
