Hubert Gagnon

Hubert Gagnon (September 29, 1947 - June 7, 2020) was a Canadian actor specialized in dubbing.
He started out in the late 60s, playing Picabo on the children's show Les Oraliens, but is best known today as the Canadian French voice of Homer Simpson in The Simpsons.
He was the regular Canadian French voice of Mel Gibson, Robert De Niro and Richard Gere, and his other dubbing roles have included Vernon Dursley in the Harry Potter saga, Boss Nass in Episode I of Star Wars, Chief Officer Henry Wilde in Titanic and Robin Williams in Hook.
In 2017, he announced that he would not return as Homer Simpson for the 28th season of the show and take a break, for medical reasons. Canadian actor Thiéry Dubé took over the role for the next seasons.
He passed away on June 7th, 2020, his family revealing that his break was in fact due to a cancer.
