Godmasters are complicated creatures, composed of both a human component and a Transtector. To combine with their Transtector, the human uses their Master-Braces to convert the cells of their bodies from organic flesh and blood into metal (alternately a crystallized form of spirit<ref>TV Magazine, July 1988</ref>), enabling them to transform into "engines" that link up with their larger robot bodies. These engine forms are known as Iacons (アイアコーン Aiakōn).
