Ian Pearson is one of the pioneers of CG animation on television. As well as working on Beast Wars, and among many other things, he:
- Animated the first CGI characters most people born before the 80s will have seen: the two characters from Dire Strait's Money for Nothing music video (among the videos shown in the video is the fictitious song "Sally" by "The Ian Pearson Band").
- Co-founded Mainframe Entertainment with Phil Mitchell and Gavin Blair.
- Co-created the ground-breaking computer animated series Reboot, which brought the company to the attention of Hasbro, leading to the creation of Beast Wars.
He was an executive producer on season 2 of Beast Wars and all of Beast Machines. After leaving Mainframe in 2001, he co-founded Shop Animation Studios in Vancouver.
