The ice demon is a malevolent entity that the Covenant battled. Shards of his frozen being had the ability to become individual ice demons.

Fiction

Wings Universe

Dion's favorite story of the Covenant, from his days as an alpha unit reading their adventures, was the one with Leonicus and the ice demon. In the story, the pneuma-lion swiped at the ice demon's glacier-like armor, only to have the resulting shards become an army of ice demons. Only after the arrival of Scorpius and his flame-breath did the Covenant defeat the ice demon. Flames of Yesterday
