Impervious alloy

The impervious alloy is resistant to heat and radiation. It was developed by Dr. Mark Morgan and Gregory Swofford.

Gregory Swofford and Jessica Morgan took out an experimental ship coated in their new alloy into the vicinity of an exploding star. Even after getting closer to save Optimus Prime from his doomed cruiser, their ship survived the supernova. Somehow, Galvatron learned of the alloy's existence, and sent the Terrorcons to steal it. Despite the valiant effort of the Technobots, the alloy was stolen by the Decepticon raiders, and in the scuffle, Jessica was crippled by a beam from the collapsing lab. The Return of Optimus Prime, Part 1

Once Optimus Prime was revived, he led a team to Chaar to get the alloy back and use it to fight the Hate Plague. After a number of Autobots were infected, Optimus and Sky Lynx were able to recover the alloy. A Quintesson was able to coat Optimus Prime in it for his fight with Rodimus Prime to protect him from the plague's effects. The Return of Optimus Prime, Part 2

• The alloy is impervious to heat, yet can somehow be melted/dissolved to coat Optimus Prime for his battle with Rodimus Prime.
