While Cybertron approached Earth, ESA scientists determined that the International Space Station would be the planet's first hit. ESA further stated that there was no escape pod for the astronauts aboard to depart the station.

The crew of the International Space Station tried to use the station's thrust to to avoid collision with Cybertron but there was no thrust available. With no way of escaping, the station remained in it's current position while Cybertron's outer fragments surrounded the station. Although not shown, the International Space Station was most certainly destroyed by a direct collision with Cybertron. The station's crew most likely perished as well. The Last Knight
