Jean-François Vlérick

Jean-François Maurin, known as Jean-François Vlérick (b. June 24, 1957) is a French actor, writer, voice director and stage director.
Son of actress Mado Maurin, he is part of a large brotherhood of actors. His 5 brothers and sisters are or have been active in cinema and dubbing (among them are the late Patrick Dewaere).
Jean-François started theater very soon, and acted in many plays during his childhood. Later, he wrote and staged several plays. On screen, he punctually appears in various TV series since the 1960s. Also prolific in dubbing, he is the regular French voice of Brad Dourif since The Lord of the Rings and Christian Clemenson, and one of the voices of Eric Stoltz and Martin Short. He also dubbed Gustaf Skarsgård as Floki in Vikings.
In animation, he dubbed Casus in The Owls of Ga'Hoole, Harvey Dent in Batman: Year One, Dr John Henry Irons / Steel in The Death of Superman, Sipho in Wakfu, Cecil Stedman in Invincible, and Ripperdoc in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
In games, his roles include Tarkus in the Warhammer 40.000 games, Pierro Joplin in Dishonored, Mr Freeze in most DC Comics games, and David Brewster in Assassin's Creed Syndicate.
