Jeff Gordon is a retired American race-car driver born August 4, 1971 in California. He is a four-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion, a three-time Daytona 500 winner, and one of the most successful drivers in NASCAR history. He used to be the driver of the Hendrick Motorsports #24 Chevy Impala in NASCAR's Sprint Cup series. On October 17, 2009 he finished fourth at the NASCAR Banking 500 Only from Bank of America in Charlotte, North Carolina while sporting a Megatron-themed paint scheme to promote the Revenge of the Fallen DVD release. Stewart/Hass Racing's Ryan Newman finished eleventh with an opposing Optimus Prime scheme.
