Jim Fern (born November 23, 1964 in Long Island, New York) is a comic book artist. His break came when he provided the cover for issue 15 of Marvel Comics's The New Talent Showcase title. Further inking and pencilling work followed, and he was also kept busy for a while doing covers for reprints of several of 2000 A.D.'s titles. In 2007, he and Mike Carey created a short-lived Vertigo comic titled [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Crossing Midnight|{{#if:||Crossing Midnight}}]], and he has also recently worked on [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Fables (comics)|{{#if:Fables|Fables|Fables (comics)}}]].
