Joe Giella

Joe Giella (June 27, 1928March 21, 2023) was a comic book artist. He started in the 1940s, drawing Captain Codfish, and began freelancing for Fawcett Comics and Timely Comics (later Marvel Comics) before working for DC. He worked on many of the big-name comic books, including [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Captain America (comic book)|{{#if:Captain America|Captain America|Captain America (comic book)}}]], Captain Marvel, Green Lantern, [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Superman (comic book)|{{#if:Superman|Superman|Superman (comic book)}}]], The Flash, Wonder Woman, and a significant number of [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Batman (comic book)|{{#if:Batman|Batman|Batman (comic book)}}]] comics. He also drew the syndicated comic strip Mary Worth from 1991 to 2016.
