Joe Rosen (December 25, 1920October 12, 2009) was an American comic letterer. He started out in 1940, lettering for Fawcett Comics before moving over to D.C. and began a freelance career in the business. In his lengthy career, he lettered thousands of comics, a great deal of them for Marvel Comics, as he started to letter exclusively on their titles. He retired in the mid-90s, as comic lettering tended more and more towards being done by computer.

Once I got over being impressed by the flashier, more stylized letterers, i quickly realized that Joe Rosen held the bar that we were all trying to leap over.{{#if:|{{{quote2}}}}}{{#if:Richard Starkings [1]|Richard Starkings [2]{{#if:|, {{{3}}}|}}|}}
