John Gibbs is an American animator and animation director. He was a supervising director on The Transformers. Originally part of DePatie-Freleng's studio and a regular animating on Pink Panther shorts as far back as the 60s, he began working with Marvel Productions. As well as Transformers, he worked on G.I. Joe, Jem, Defenders of the Earth, and Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends.
