John Rogers is an American-Canadian writer and producer. He is perhaps best known for writing the early script for the critically-panned Catwoman motion picture (a work that he is not particularly proud of), creating the Jackie Chan Adventures animated series, and co-creating the DC Comics character Jaime Reyes, the third Blue Beetle.
He wrote the initial story and the first draft script of the 2007 Transformers movie before leaving the project. His story was adapted and rewritten by the writing team of Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci.
