John Turturro (born February 28, 1957) is an Italian-American actor and filmmaker. An Emmy Award winner, he is best known for his recurring appearances in films directed by [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Spike Lee|{{#if:||Spike Lee}}]] and the [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Coen Brothers|{{#if:||Coen Brothers}}]], which included the title role of Barton Fink and Jesus Quintana in The Big Lebowski. While his other roles outside of the filmmakers were Bill Pearlman in Fearless, Herb Stempel in Quiz Show, Irving Bailiff in Severance, Francesco Bernoulli in Cars 2, Carmine Falcone in The Batman.
