Josie Firmin
Josephine "Josie" Firmin is a British artist from a family of artists: her father, [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Peter Firmin|{{#if:||Peter Firmin}}]], created a number of children's shows including [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}The Clangers|{{#if:||The Clangers}}]]; her mother, Joan, knitted said show's title characters; and her five sisters are also artists. Josie was educated in textile design at Winchester Art School, after which she gained employment colouring comics for Marvel, including Transformers and Care Bears. She paints china, and co-founded bespoke china painting business Cosmo China, which sells the work of a collective of artists, including herself and at least three of her sisters. She also writes and illustrates children's books, and teaches art.
