[edit]When outland raiders started attacking the isles near his valley, Laird Mac Cullen went to consult with druids to learn if the invaders would come to his hometown. On his pilgrimage, he brought along his mute brother and his finest warrior. The druids accepted the treasure he offered for a consultation, and point him towards the cave of the old gods. But before they entered, the three Scotsmen were warned to touch nothing within the sacred grotto. The Laird's brother disobeyed the druid's instruction, causing a dormant god to awaken. Mac Cullen and his warrior slew turned their swords onto the mechanical being, slaying it and keeping its face as a trophy. After they exitted the cave, the druids discovered that the trio had stolen from the gods. Laird Mac Cullen and his companions were forced to fight their way back to their ship to escape.
Laird Mac Cullen's finest warrior was mortally wounded in their escape, and upon lighting his funeral pyre back home, the Laird cast light upon a fleet of ships sailing towards his village under the cover of night. Clad in the flesh of the slain god, Laird Mac Cullen led his men against the invaders. Though it took many blows, he eventually fell in battle. He was avenged by his brother, who took the metal visage worn by the elder Mac Cullen, and adopted the title of "Destro." Stick To Your Guns
