I gave [writing for TV] up after a few years when I told the producer of "Transformers," the show about cars that turned into robots, that we had been tagged the third most violent children's television program and the producer said he would not be satisfied until we were number one on that list.

During the writing of "Blaster Blues", Larry created Omega Supreme's distinctive speech pattern ("OMEGA SUPREME: ALWAYS PREPARED"). Later in the series, he would attempt to give Bruticus a speech pattern based around military jargon ("Cybertron liberated! Jail all POWs!"). However all dialogue that followed this pattern would be completely removed during story editing.
