Leandro Martinez
Leandro San Juan Martinez (February 27, 1933–December 16, 1992) was an animation designer. Born in Morong in the Philippines, he left school early to pursue a career in cartooning. After working for several publishers, he went freelance and created a number of characters and comics, including Superkat and Bulol en Tangak. He continued drawing those strips after moving to LA in 1981, and also inked for D.C. and Marvel Comics. He gained work on cartoons, working as a designer on season one of The Transformers, BraveStarr, He-Man, She-Ra, Filmation's Ghostbusters, and Tiny Toon Adventures. He died after suffering a heart attack while driving.
