Lillian is a resident of Griffin Rock, who was engaged to be married to Ansel Ambrose in 1915.

When Ambrose's ship, the S.S. Phantom Voyager, went missing off the coast of Griffin Rock, Lillian waited for him to return. She saw the ship when it reappeared every ten years. Then a hundred years later, the Griffin Rock rescue team helped Ambrose fix the broken time machine that was causing the ship to drift forward in time, and he was able to return to 1915 and wed Lillian after all.
