A commander in Earth's resistance against Megatron's tyranny, Linda Chang is also the wife of Circuit Smasher.

When Optimus Prime elected to remain on Earth following Megatron's defeat, Circuit Smasher decided to show the former Autobot leader that he was not welcome by frying his circuits. Leading a squad of battlesuits and tanks, Chang ordered her husband to stand down and proceeded to escort Prime to the Little America enclave where he would be allowed to have his say. There, along with G.B. Blackrock and Gordon Kent, she agreed to consider Prime's plan to make amends by uniting Earth and Nebulos. Destiny, Part Two
With the space bridge at the Glass Mountains in Oklahoma established and connected to Nebulos through the Star Chamber on Cybertron, Chang, Blackrock, Kent, and Optimus Prime awaited the arrival of the first Nebulan delegation. Circuit Smasher joined them at the last minute as someone emerged from the other side—his former Headmaster partner, Fortress Maximus! Corrupted by the Dark Matrix creature, Maximus blasted Optimus to the ground as Circuit Smasher stood frozen to the spot despite his wife's pleading. Gordon Kent knocked her out of the way as Fortress Maximus took Spike and smashed Prime to the ground again before retreating back through the space bridge, leaving Linda holding her head in her hands, helpless as her husband was abducted. Back at Argus Base Linda Chang took charge of the situation, mobilising the resistance's vehicles and battlesuits, arming their missile silos and charging G.B. with the task of keeping Optimus Prime alive long enough to re-open the space bridge and find Spike. The War to End All Wars, Part 4 When a squad of Autobots led by Prowl came through the space bridge, Chang was ready and waiting with a squad of mean and ticked off humans...with big guns! Recognising the resistance members, Roadbuster negotiated a ceasefire with the promise that they could help her find Spike. Now united with the Autobots, Chang's unit crossed through the space bridge to the Clar Macro-jungle on Nebulos where they saved Ultra Magnus from being shot in the back by Fortress Maximus.
After Rodimus Prime defeated the Dark Matrix creature in Zero Space, Linda was reunited with Spike on Nebulos and witnessed the culmination of Optimus's vision of unity between the two planets, which would then go on to thrive. The War to End All Wars, Part 5
