The Super Stunt Team fight off a gang of evil Mini-Cons, and get some unexpected help.

Synopsis

The newly reactivated and reformatted Tailslide uses a transfixation beam to force-transform and lock Servo into car mode. While Stella fends off a Fixer Bug intent on reformatting Servo, Redline manages to break free of Midship's grasp.

Flat-Out flies in to help, but suddenly there are explosions all around as the Fixer Bugs are shot down by Scavenger, who is Powerlinxed with Rollbar. The Speed Chaser team beat a retreat in Magnawing mode, noting enigmatically that at least one Mini-Con is "in the hands of a warrior now", so the battle wasn't a total loss.

Stella negotiates with Scavenger for assistance on the Mini-Cons' behalf, and he gives them his ship since he was going to abandon it anyway. His only stipulation is that they forget they ever saw him. Stella begins to suffer from heatstroke, and when Redline calls to Rollbar for help, he realizes Rollbar's followed the mysterious Cybertronian off into the distance...

  • This comic was available only with the fourth volume of the Legends of the Microns DVD in Japan, along with the exclusive Tailslide toy. Later pressings of the DVD did not include either.

Transformers references

  • This issue severely ramps up the amount of abilities based on otherwise-innocuous toy details. The sculpted circles on Tailslide's arms are beam projectors, Midship's head flips back on the toy's hinge rather than his normal neck when he's kicked in the face, Redline's tailpipes are blasters, and Flat-Out's backpack serves as a jetpack.
  • Stella refers to the Fixer Bug by the Japanese word for "bug" or "insect", mushi. Cute.
  • This issue fills in a bit on how Scavenger came to be on Earth, plus how Rollbar ended up among the Decepticon Mini-Con pool. Last issue, Rollbar mentioned the cloaking device on the ship, which explains how Scavenger got there unnoticed by either side. Also, Scavenger is unnamed, and his allegiance is left a mystery. While his original character arc had concluded and he'd returned to the Autobots in the aired-on-TV episodes by the time this comic came out, he is still with the Decepticons in the episodes on the DVD this comic came with.
  • Once again, we get more cryptic words from the evil Mini-Cons, regarding Rollbar's new bond with Scavenger. This is explained more next issue, plus the later revelation of the Mini-Cons' original purpose explains why the Speed Chasers were content with the outcome.
  • Remember, not every Bulk can understand Mini-Con binary speak, hence the need for Stella to talk with Scavenger.
