Notes

[edit]
  • Huarancca came across the role when a casting agent searched for a Quechua speaker at a festival, and he just happened to be there visiting a sanctuary. He learned he had been selected for the role without knowing he was going to be starring in a big budget film.<ref>[1]</ref> In his role as Amaru, he and Optimus Primal exchange warm greetings in Quechua.
  • To his delight, many of his former students call him "Professor Amaru" when they see him in the street.<ref>[2]</ref>
