Luis Carreño
Luis Geraldo Carreño (born August 20, 1975) is a Venezuelan-American voice actor and broadcaster.
Widely considered to be one of the most prolific voice actors in Venezuelan dubbing, examples of his most famous roles include the eponymous character from Spongebob Sqaurepants, Dog from CatDog (opposite Luis Miguel Perez), the eponymous character from Martin Mystery, Gandhi from Clone High, the Atom and The Question in Justice League, Evan Daniels from X-Men: Evolution, both Clock and Kwan from Danny Phantom, Professor Palladium from Winx Club, Oscar from The Save-Ums!, Polly Parrot from the Boomerang Latin-American Spanish dub of Peppa Pig, Master Dashi in both Xiaolin Showdown and Xiaolin Chronicles, Silver Shell from My Life as a Teenage Robot, Magnanimous from Megas XLR, Jason from GirlStuff BoyStuff, Duncan Douglas from Freakazoid!, DJ Jazz Man and Joseph from Beyblade, and Marc Cram from Kenan and Kel.
He even voiced a character from a Venezuelan 2011 animated short called Felix from Hoy no se hace pastel de Chucho (lit. Today we're not making cake of Chucho).
He also dubbed a lot of characters in anime; some examples of those roles include Xellos in Slayers, Takao Akizuki from The Garden of Woods, Kyōsuke Irie from Higurashi: When They Cry - GOU, Seisuke Kanou from Hungry Heart, Akabane Kurodo in Getbackers, Lancer from Fate/stay night, Kazume from S-CRY-ed, Takeshi Momoshiro from The Prince of Tennis, and Starscream in the Unicron Trilogy.
Since October 2015, he started to reside in Miami, Florida, where he still dubbed over characters, like Phillip from South Park, Peck the Penguin and Gus the Alligator from Super Spy Ryan, and a whooooole bunch of characters from My Hero Academia.
He is the younger brother of Frank Carreño.

Cybertron
[edit]- Starscream
Notes
[edit]- Luis shares his roles as Spongebob and Dog with Tom Kenny, in addition to both voicing incarnations of Starscream.
- Even though he currently resides in Miami, Florida, he still continues to do voice over work and voice Spongebob.
- As of 2026, Luis Carreño has voiced Starscream in Latin American Spanish more times than anyone else... which isn't saying a lot, really.
