When Ricky Vasquez, under the thrall of the Decepticons, held the staff of Hoover Dam at gunpoint, Lyle Scoggins spoke to a WOW reporter about the situation. He expressed that the hostages were safe, but declined to comment on the identity of the gunman. The reporter, undaunted by this, asked Scoggins if he identified the gunman as Richard Vasquez.

Scoggins presumably witnessed the ensuing Transformer battle over the dam. Aerialbots over America!
