On his way to Detroit, Swoop buzzed a USAF jet, causing an angry Macadam to call up the Autobots and give Optimus Prime an earful about keeping his men in line. The next day, at Battle Creek Airforce Base, Macadam oversaw the launch of the automated stealth bomber Wraith-X. The instant it launched, Starscream attacked, hacked the plane, and sent it to destroy Detroit. Macadam immediately called up an amused Optimus to ask for help, and mentioned the Wraith-X would probably be targeting the exact location of the Autobot base—as someone had been sending encrypted transmissions from that vicinity.
