Madeline was playing on a swing when she found a strange pink robot which asked if her father was home. She took it inside to read it a book, but when her mother found them, it revealed itself to be Laserbeak and killed her father. Dark of the Moon

Madeline Singer’s involvement in the preceding events, or events mostly similar, were also chronicled in the novel "Transformers: Dark of the Moon."

• In the movie, she is credited simply as "Engineer's daughter".
• The novel of the film strongly implies she and her mother were killed by Laserbeak to leave no witnesses. The movie itself leaves it ambiguous.
