[edit]Optimus Prime lay dormant under Mare Rurek Glacier for millions of years, after the Autobot/Decepticon war reached Earth. Tobias Muldoon, Nikola Tesla, and a small group of Autobots traveled to the glacier in 1888 in the hopes of reviving their leader when the planet was threatened by the Elder Gods. Infestation 2: The Transformers #1 Tesla unveiled his invention, the Tesla tower, which they would use to repower Optimus. When its power proved insufficient, the other Autobots added their own power, at the cost of exhausting their batteries. The combined power was enough to restore Optimus to life.
