Mechagodzilla (メカゴジラ Mekagojira) is the robotic copy of Godzilla. One version of it is also known as Kiryu (機龍 Kiryū, "Machine Dragon").

Following Megatron to Earth through the space bridge in 2024, Optimus Prime discovered that his nemesis had scanned Godzilla, replicating the monster's mighty power and starting a battle to see who was the strongest. With the Matrix, Optimus scanned its wisdom of the ages to find an equally-powerful weapon and discovered data on Kiryu in another universe. Linking the Matrix to the space bridge, Optimus brought Kiryu forth while updating his systems to become "Optimus Prime Type MSF-3 Kiryu". Part of T-SPARK's Synergenex line of collector-targeted crossover toys, "Optimus Prime Type MFS-3 Kiryu" is a redeco of Legacy Laser Optimus Prime inspired by "Kiryu", the version of Godzilla foe [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Mechagodzilla|{{#if:||Mechagodzilla}}]] seen in the films [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla|{{#if:||Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla}}]] and [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S.|{{#if:||Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S.}}]] This casts nearly all of Optimus's robot mode parts in metallic gray, the sword and axe in bright yellow (inspired by Kiryu's yellow eyes and firepower), the truck cab and blaster in dark blue (with white cybernetic spots on the hood), and the trailer in olive green. The windows on Prime's chest are now opaque, with the right "pec" now displaying a "Godzilla Transformers" logo and the left Kiryu's designation of "MFS-3". Laser Prime's distinctive shoulder tower launchers resemble Kiryu's blue backpack weapons unit.

Optimus Prime Type MFS-3 Kiryu was unveiled as part of the Synergenex line's reveal on August 25, 2024.
