Metrobase is an Autobot from the live-action film continuity family.

Metrobase is an ancient Titan who has been sailing alone in the universe for a long time, until he received an invitation to make Earth his new home in 1970. With the help of Chinese officials and Optimus Prime, Metrobase eventually landed in Tongzhou, Beijing, becoming an important ally for Optimus Prime and NEST in their fight against the Decepticons.

He was so huge that the foundation of Tongzhou subsided nearly five meters when he landed.

  • Observation
Throughout the course of history, Chinese astronomers tracked every observable object within the solar system and beyond, creating detalled records of the night sky. As their maps grew more comprehensive, the astronomers began to notice celestial anomalies.
  • Exploration
Over time, the astronomers continued to observe and track these anomalles with steadily increasing accuracy, until they began to recognize patterns. In 1965, China launched an ambitious project to verify their hypotheses regarding the origins of these anomalous phenomena. Thus, a new initiative was born, a pioneering project aimed at establishing the first contact with extraterrestrial intelligent beings.
  • Communication
In 1970.China's first satellite was launched into orbit. It was designed to take readings of the Earth's upper atmosphere, and also carried a message intended for intelligent life - a message that reached Metrobase, a massive Titan Transformer from the planet Cybertron. Upon receiving the transmission, Metrobase returned a signal and set cource for what would soon become his new home: Beijing, China.
  • Prepaeration
Over the years, the Chinese astronomers were able to track Metrobase's journey to Earth, but the astronomers were not alone in expecting his appearance. Optimus Prime, the leader of the heroic Autobots, recelved Metrobase's signal and was anxiously awaiting the arrival of his old friend.
  • Cooperation
Upon landing , Metrobase was welcomed to Earth and China by Optimus Prime. Metrobase selected a site on the outskirts of Beijing and transformed into his alternate city mode, becoming the NEST Beijing Headquarters. This moment is recognized as the impetus of the long and prosperous partnership between the Autobots and the People of China.

Features

Metrobase can be transformed into a fully functional combat base, and you can find the following facilities at Universal Studios Beijing.

  • ENERGON PUMP
The huge machines established by the Energon Extraction Department extract energy minerals from underground and transport them to the refining department. These minerals are then processed into energy packs for use by the NEST and Autobots.
  • AUTBOT APPLIED SCIENCE DIVISION
A place where Autobots and human scientists conduct specialized scientific research on energon. It's worth mentioning that the Driller is also imprisoned here. It doesn't seem like a very safe place.
  • COMM TOWER
  • SUBJECT SHOCKWAVE
Shockwave, disguised as a BMW car, is imprisoned in the square of the base. He was arrested for appearing around the base in an attempt to find Megatron. When tourists approach, he tries to deceive them into helping him escape.
  • SPACE BRIDGE
The screen of the base will display the surveillance footage of the space bridge operation room, and General Yang will report the activities of the Decepticons to the special agents (tourists) and command the technical personnel of the NEST base to open the space bridge. According to the display screen of the base, the space bridge inside Metrobase can be directly connected to the NEST base in Chicago. Autobots such as Optimus Prime and Windblade come to Beijing Metrobase through this space bridge to meet with tourists.
