Metrotank

From MediaWiki

Metrotank is a Decepticon from the Zone portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
He makes up for his lack of transformation with a positive personality.

Metrotank (メトロタンク Metorotanku) is a sentient tank, and a member of the Metrosquad. The only member of the squad who lacks a robot mode, he is nonetheless extremely powerful, but also has a very short temper. Winning combination, right there.

Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers

[edit]

Now can I have a new toy, please?
  • ID number: D-340
  • Known designers: Kōjin Ōno (TakaraTomy){{#if: |, {{{2}}}}}
Sold in the Zone-themed portion of Takara's Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers toyline, Metrotank is a redeco of Slammer, who is... a tank. He transforms into a tower for Metrotitan's city mode by removing the tank turret (and just setting it aside) and flipping out a large "antenna" from the front, and then attaching to the empty wrist socket of Metrotitan's left tower/arm.
He was only available as part of the Metrotitan set.

Notes

[edit]
  • All of the promotional imagery for Metrotitan, from the comic to the box photography, show Metrotank with a white turret piece. However, the final toy has a blue turret.
  • Metrotank's new body in the Legends comic is a "virtual redeco" of the Siege Deluxe Class Brunt toy due to the Kingdom Deluxe Class Slammer toy not being known until 2021.
