James Michael Reaves (September 14, 1950March 20, 2023) was an American writer. In addition to The Transformers, he has also written for damn near every action cartoon on TV. Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends, Dungeons & Dragons, Spiral Zone, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Real Ghostbusters, Gargoyles, Batman: The Animated Series... You name it.

Most prominently, he wrote the theatrically-released Batman: Mask of the Phantasm.
