Michelle Yeoh Choo Kheng<ref>"Choo Kheng" is her given name at birth while "Yeoh" is her surname.</ref> (杨紫琼 Iônn Tsú-khîng, born August 6, 1962) is a Malaysian actress. She rose to prominence starring in a number of action films in Hong Kong during the late 20th century. Consisting of the likes of Yes, Madam, Police Story 3: Super Cop, The Heroic Trio, Tai Chi Master, and Wing Chun. Between 1997 through 2000, she achieved international fame for starring as the James Bond girl, Wai Lin in Tomorrow Never Dies and Yu Shu Lien in Ang Lee's Wuxia epic, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Her later film credits include Memoirs of a Geisha, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, Crazy Rich Asians, the Marvel Cinematic Universe films, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 and Shang Chi and the Legends of the Ten Rings, the Avatar sequels, the two-part film adaptation of Wicked (which also costars her Rise of the Beasts cast mates Colman Domingo and Peter Dinklage), and Everything Everywhere All at Once, which earned her the Academy Award for Best Actress. On the television front, she has starred as Captain (and Emperor) Philippa Georgiou in Star Trek: Discovery and Guanyin in American Born Chinese.
In the realm of voice acting, she has voiced the Soothsayer in Kung Fu Panda 2, Master Chow in Minions: the Rise of Gru, and Yuki in Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank.
