[edit]Figuring there was a chance the Quintessons might double-cross him during a deal, Dirk Manus planted a micro-size nuclear nullifier on the Recreator he delivered to him. Sure enough, the six million credits they had paid him turned out to be mimic dust, and Dirk attempted to detonate the nullifier and destroy the recreator. Unfortunately the Quintessons had foreseen this, and planted a bomb on Dirk's ship, the Lazy Sue. As the Quintessons watched the ship crash, one of them flicked the useless nuclear nullifier off the Recreator. Money Is Everything
