Mining Colony 25-6-41 is a large asteroid colony located in the Farouko Cluster, within Solstar Order territory.

Fiction

2005 IDW continuity

Rom, Livia, and their new recruits Auxin and Sata were dispatched to the colony to investigate rumors of a Dire Wraith infestation. They discovered that the Wraiths had indeed compromised the colony and managed to root them out and engaged the aliens. After being led into an ambush, Auxin was rescued by his fellow cadet Stardrive, who had been staking out the colony for a week in her alternate mode.

When the battle had concluded, Livia argued in favour of destroying the entire colony, but Stardrive argued otherwise. Rom agreed with Stardrive, and the Knights left the planetoid for their next mission. Shining Armor #1

Notes

• Mining Colony 25-6-41 may be named in reference to June 25, 1941, the date on which Executive Order 8802 was signed into law by U.S. President Roosevelt. The order prohibits racial discrimination in the military-industrial complex, which seems to fit with the discrimination Stardrive faces among the Space Knights.
• The establishing shot of the colony has some major shout-outs; the "W" logo of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation from the [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Alien (franchise)|{{#if:Alien film series|Alien film series|Alien (franchise)}}]] can be seen on the side of a building. Additionally, one of the many ships nearby is based off the [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Discovery One|{{#if:||Discovery One}}]] from the 1968 film [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}2001: A Space Odyssey (film)|{{#if:2001: A Space Odyssey|2001: A Space Odyssey|2001: A Space Odyssey (film)}}]].
