If you have just installed MediaWiki

You probably installed from Git, or directly from the source code using some other method. This is expected. Try installing some skins from mediawiki.org's skin directory, by:

Downloading the tarball installer, which comes with several skins and extensions. You can copy and paste the skins/ directory from it.
Downloading individual skin tarballs from mediawiki.org.
Using Git to download skins.

Doing this should not interfere with your Git repository if you're a MediaWiki developer.

If you have just modified LocalSettings.php: Double-check the skin names for typos.

Some of the Lost Light crew (including Swerve and Nightbeat) were administered with mood suppressants by Velocity following Skids' death. Nautica disparagingly referred to them as "grief shots", saying that they owed it to Skids to face their feelings head-on. Dissolution Part 3: A World Misplaced

Later, Velocity offered Anode "something to cope" with her grief over Lug - presumably referring to mood suppressants. Dissolution Part 6: This Machine Kills Fascists

While we only see mood suppressants used to help with grief, their ambiguous name suggests that they could be used for other purposes.
Nautica states that "avoidance is addictive" (in the context of mood suppressants), implying that forming a dependency on them is not uncommon.
