After Cobrander was captured and his soul sealed into the Bewitching Serpent Seal, his body turned into stone. The Mysterious Ancient Document was written to detail those events and warn against releasing the "demon". The document was placed by the ruling Lion clan with the seal and Cobrander's stone body within Red Phoenix's prison, and the fortress kept in Beast's vast forest. 決して妖蛇封印を取ってはならない。
再びこの悪魔に生をあたえたなら、
ビースト星は滅亡するであろう。

We have finally managed to capture the demon
that ravaged the peaceful planet Beast: the vicious Cobrander.
We trapped his soul in the Lion Clan's Bewitching Serpent Seal,
turned his body to stone, and locked him in the cage of the
Flame Fortress Red Phoenix, one of the three heroes of the planet Beast
who had been protecting the Lion Clan.

Never take the Bewitching Serpent Seal.
If you give life to this demon again,
the planet Beast will be destroyed.

[edit]
  • Burstsun Special Set (Multi-pack, 1987)
  • Flame Fortress Red Phoenix (Fortress, 1987)
The two halves of the Mysterious Ancient Document were packed with the "Burstsun Special Set" ten-pack of figures (right half), and the Flame Fortress Red Phoenix (left half), requiring customers to get both if they wanted the complete document. These halves could then be mailed to Takara, along with a filled-out questionnaire that came with both sets, to be redeemed for an exclusive "Petrified Special Cobrander" figure. The documents needed to be postmarked by January 31st of 1988 to get the figure.
Apparently Takara severely underestimated how many kids would buy the toys and mail the documents in, requiring a second run of the figure.
