[edit]

Ratchet got stuck on Na'conda after an incident involving a foldspace warhead. At that time, the Thraal and A'ovan were at war with each other. Upon scanning a Thraal tank to blend in, Ratchet additionally received information from the tank's onboard computer about the reasons and current situation of the war. An all-out attack by the Thraal on the last A'ovan stronghold motivated Ratchet to interfere, and he engaged the Thraal leader, Durguth, in combat. Due to the Thraal's hierarchal system, none came to help their leader or continued the battle against the A'ovan while Durguth's authority wasn't certain. Ratchet won the battle, thereby becoming the new ruler of the Thraal Imperium. Being an Autobot, Ratchet used his position to mediate between the Thraal and A'ovan and end the war. The A'ovan race evolved on the third moon of the gas giant Na'conda, a lush world populated by three hundred million A'ovan and 1.7 million species. Escape Part One The citizens had established contact with the Cybertronian species, and at one point Meteorfire, Hound, and Crosscut visited the planet on a diplomatic mission. This peaceful era came to an end when the hostile Thraal launched a war of extermination against the citizens of Na'conda, and the conflict escalated to the point where the Thraal bombarded the moon with nuclear weapons, intent on exterminating the peaceful aliens for reasons as yet unknown. The Cybertronian government intervened by sending the Great General Dai Atlas and a peacekeeping unit to the warzone. Dai Atlas and his soldiers coordinated the evacuation efforts while battling the Thraal, and bought enough time for the A'ovan refugee ships to get safely offworld to Cybertron. Escape Part One Unfortunately, their planet had been too heavily damaged by the Thraal to ever support life again; ninety kilocycles after the conflict, the moon was still an irradiated wasteland. After arriving on Cybertron, the refugees settled in a custom-built arcology that would preserve their cultural and biological heritage, while members of Cybertron's Xeno-Relations department searched for a suitable world where they could rebuild their civilization in peace. Nautica: Home By the time of the Great War, almost five thousand A'ovan lived in the habitat, which included genetic samples from almost a hundred thousand species.
